It’s about Leadership and Service to our Communities

There are many unique and wonderful communities in San Luis Obispo County, just as there are varying models of emergency response agencies. As your County Fire Chiefs Association, we have one guiding vision that connects us: we strive to develop relationships and agreements that maximize the effectiveness of our agencies in providing service to you.

Chances are, regardless of where you live in the United States, your local fire department is staffed and equipped to handle the daily risks associated with your community’s profile. There are times when those risks present emergencies that exceed your daily staffing and equipment resources capacity. That’s where organizations like the San Luis Obispo County Fire Chiefs are of particular value. While individually, we focus primarily on the needs of our specific community, collectively we work together to ensure we are prepared to do the greater good when circumstances require additional support or assistance.

It isn’t just about sharing resources during emergencies. Your County Chiefs realize there are other efficiencies to be created, including in the areas of training, response guidelines consistency, and communications to name a few.

We are here to serve you and lead our region in the areas of response and prevention related to fire, out-of-hospital medical, technical rescue, hazardous materials, and disaster responses.
